Top cat care!

British short hair Olive has been in to stay with us for a dental. As part of our pre-admission process, we ask lots of questions to ensure that we make every patient’s stay as comfortable and stress-free as we can. This includes where patients like to be petted. Cats especially can be quite particular and one cat’s preferences doesn’t necessarily reflect another’s so we like to check. We absolutely loved this drawing that Olive’s mum provided. We can confirm that Olive will lick the air if she is fussed above her left leg!

As Olive is a brachycephalic breed, mum was especially keen for her to undergo her procedure with a practice that has a vet experienced in more complex dental cases. Selenia, our vet who holds a postgraduate certificate in small animal dentistry, and has extensive experience working alongside a dental referral vet as well as supporting students on the same dentistry postgraduate certificate she achieved as wet lab supervisor, was looking after Olive. So, with her cuddles chart, our fab nursing team and Selenia carrying out her procedure, gorgeous Olive was in great hands!
