Travelling Abroad

From January 2021 the rules on travelling to Europe (including Northern Ireland and Ireland) have changed:

• Microchipped
• Anti-rabies vaccination a minimum of 3 weeks before travel. You must have proof of your pet’s vaccination history.
• An Animal Health Certificate – this must be issued by an official veterinarian (whom we have at the practice) within 10 days of travelling to an EU country or Northern Ireland and is valid for return to GB for 4 months.
• Worming treatment is not mandatory for cats (unlike dogs) before returning to the UK but is recommended
