We were all stunned at poor Albus’s nasty injury when he came in to see us last week. The three year old cat had the very end of a piece of wood protruding from his right back leg. We knew the foreign body was big when we x-rayed poor Albus’s leg. You can imagine our astonishment when we extracted the splintered piece of wood under anaesthesia, and discovered it was an incredible 13cm long! Amazingly, Albus had still been using his injured leg when he came in to see us!
Fortunately, there was no bone damage, and Albus’s wound is steadily healing. What a brave boy he is.
