It’s World Animal Day!
Today is World Animal Day and it’s celebrated around the globe in many different ways. The purpose of the day is to increase public awareness around the importance of good animal welfare and to improve education in this area. This recognition day enables the animal welfare organisations to come together and make a bigger collective noise about animal care issues. This is our registered veterinary nurse Cody on her trip to South Africa last month, where she saw slightly larger cats than we’re used to in The West Midlands Cat Clinic! These lions were on a game reserve where the animals are protected as much as they can be by patrolling park wardens but still lead a completely normal life. Cody also saw rhino, buffalo, monkeys, snakes, elephants and giraffes amongst other exotic animals on her travels. What an amazing trip!
