Happy cat!

At the West Midlands Cat Clinic, we have lots of strategies in place to help reduce feline stress on visits to the vets. Our cat-only environment removes the stress of barking dogs and scary smells, and in our waiting room, we play gentle music, have synthetic pheromone diffusers to help cats feel more relaxed, have cat coffee tables where owners rest carriers as cats feel more secure at height, and we offer synthetic pheromone-infused towels to cover the front of carriers so that cats feel safe while they wait. This all helps cats to feel happier and less nervous when they go through to the consult room. They are then much more likely to feel naturally inquisitive and positively engage when they leave their carrier, which helps to create a positive consult all round.

This is beautiful Maine Coon Beef who was in to see our Registered Veterinary Nurse and Cat Friendly Clinic advocate Rachael recently, having a great time! He was totally absorbed by treats on the Licki mat and then had fun exploring the water running from the tap!
