Distraction tactics!

You may remember these beautiful babies from our ‘(Almost!) White Christmas’ post. The 8 rag doll kittens were back in to see our RVN and Cat Friendly Clinic Advocate Rachael yesterday for their second vaccinations and microchips. They were once again an absolute delight!

LickiMats® are a great focus for our furry visitors, especially if they are a little anxious or we need them to remain relatively still. They help make vet visits less stressful for the patient and work to create a more positive association with being in practice.

As you can see from the photo, Rachael had no problem carrying out microchipping and vaccinations. We’re not even sure kitten noticed anything other than the delicious paste on the LickiMat®! The purrrrrfect outcome!
