Big welcome!

We are delighted to welcome a second new Registered Veterinary Nurse to the 387 team in quick succession! Cody Hinton follows hot on the heels of Rachel Turner who joined us just last month, and takes our qualified nursing team to a new total of 8.

Cody brings a wealth of nursing experience from previous small animal practice. Qualifying in 2017, she was subsequently promoted to head nurse status before moving to a busy referral hospital to further hone her nursing skills. Responsibilities included monitoring anaesthesia, theatre work, radiography and patient nursing care and Cody was one of only a few nurses qualified to administer rehabilitative laser therapy.

In addition to her in-patient work, Cody also loves working with pet owners to help their pets stay in optimum health, and in 2020, she was promoted to Senior Nurse at St George’ Bushbury practice in Wolverhampton with increased nurse consulting opportunity. Cody is experienced in running a wide range of nursing clinics. She loves cats and has completed the International Society of Feline Medicine’s Cat Friendly Veterinary Professional Course to help cats feel calmer on visits to the vets. And she and is currently studying for the Nurses Certificate in Small Animal Nutrition to implement learning around improving the nutritional status of clinical cases and healthy pets.

We know Cody will be an excellent addition to the team and we can’t wait for her to get to know you and your feline companions!
